Juxtaposed June - day 30

Today's tea for the grande finale is a blooming peach tea from Teavana! It is my favorite from them. I never grow tired of watching it bloom! It is a very light mild tea with a pleasant peach flavor. All in all, a fun way to end my tea series for June! 😊

Juxtaposed June - day 29

I saved my favorite for almost last!! Lapsang Suchong is my absolute favorite tea! It is a love or hate tea. The flavor is a smoky campfire which is lovely for rainy days. I have so many memories with this tea. All of my "best" friends love it. And the all of my favorite "enemies" hate it. 😉
Which means John is on my enemy list. When I need a comforting, nostalgia, and heartwarming tea, I turn to this!
Mmmmmm!

Juxtaposed June - day 28

After working at Bailiwick all day, I ended the night with "Earl Grey, hot." I shared my cup with an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Captain Picard would approve. ;) And Im sure after the work he did today in the episode, he would relax with a nice cup as well.

Juxtaposed June - day 27

Gunpowder Green in my new mug! I've been super excited to use it. I couldn't resist when I found it at the store the other day. Gunpowder Green is obviously a green tea. It has a smooth light flavor which is perfect for listening to records. I was listening to the new Brahms one from Grandma! 😊

Juxtaposed June - day 26

Another bit of childhood. Summer time means iced tea, and iced tea means Nestea unsweetened iced tea. And as a rule, it has to be in one of the blue glasses. That's how iced tea should be. So after a long day at work, I enjoyed a chilly glass of iced tea while watching a childhood favorite, "The Wizard of Oz"!

Totally tasty!!!! Thanks girlie!!!😊

Juxtaposed June - day 24

Today's cup of tea was at Grandma's house! I perused her cupboards and found a lovely white tea with blueberries and elderflower. I had it in a mug that she has had since I was a kid. I remember getting up in the morning and finding Grandpa sipping his coffee out of it. So I picked it out for nostalgia sake. 😊
A yummy cup of tea for a visit to Grandma and Grandpa's!

Juxtaposed June - day 23

Irish Breakfast tea as it is almost breakfast time in Ireland. 😉
Pairs delightfully with the biscuits, chocolate, and a magic bar. Irish Breakfast has been a favorite my entire life. What more can I say, except I love it? More, please!

Juxtaposed June - day 22

Today's delightful cup is loose leaf Jasmine Pearl Green Tea. A lovely calming tea after a long but wonderful day! My best friend is home!!!! And she surprised me by visiting me at work! I bawled my eyes out, needless to say. Then in the evening 2 softball teams came for ice cream which was crazy. All in all, a great day and a great cup of tea!

Juxtaposed June - day 21

Blueberry Lemon tea is from my childhood.
😊
If you haven't noticed, I enjoy a lot of black teas. As far as tea goes, the Eastern Shore Tea Co. is a great one! They don't have it at the moment, but they also have a Key Lime one that is fantastic.
😊
All in all, a great tea to take me on a relaxing journey to end my day's journeys to the Binghamton area and back.

😊

I love both Lady Grey tea as well as Earl Grey but I am saving Earl Grey to enjoy with Captain Jean-Luc Picard!
😉

Today's cup of tea is Yorkshire Gold. A blend of the 3 leaf origins from 10 tea gardens in the world. I had it a long time ago, and decided to buy a bag again. It was pairs perfectly with a good book! In my case, "My Italian Bulldozer" by Alexander McCall Smith. 😊

Juxtaposed June - day 18

One of my top five favorite teas! African Autumn Red Bush tea! I think of watching Jane Eyre with a pot of tea at my side when I drink it. I made a pot for myself to enjoy tonight after a family movie night. We watched "The Slipper and the Rose", which is a Cinderella story. A nice night indeed!

I haven't done any white tea so here is today's! Rishi's white organic peach blossom tea! The white tea is "infused with peach, tangerine, and aromatic blossoms". All in all, a delightful loose leaf!

Today's cup of tea is actually just chrysanthemum blossoms! It had a light flavor, and was quite delicious. I have my "Little Mole" mug from childhood. It is from the Czech Republic where my aunt is from. 😊

Juxtaposed June - day 13

Uno, chess, a trumpet soloist on the record player, and a simple cup of hot black tea to round it off! We usually have Red Rose in our tea canister but today we had Salada. The mug is from the RMSC, Rochester Museum and Science Center. We love this mug!
😊

On every Salada tea bag, it has a quote. I remember Great Grandma reading them to us if she came across a good one. Today's says:

"A warm smile is the universal language of kindness." - William Arthur Ward

Juxtaposed June - day 11

"With a single sip the cloud of busy mind is made to pass and the light of life breaks through to show us what we have concealed from a ourselves all along." - The Minister of Leaves

This Blackberry Sage is a family favorite. It is a black tea with natural sage and blackberry flavors, hence the name. I had it hot to end my day, while my family had it iced throughout. Definitely a delicious choice for any occasion!

Juxtaposed June - day 10

Russian Spiced Tea, another tea from Naomi! The spices sounded particularly delicious today! 😊 It is also a good day for iced tea, so Dad started some.

Anyone who knows me, knows I love War and Peace! 😊 Which of course was written by Leo Tolstoy. The side of the box talks about him a little bit.

"What Tolstoy novel would be complete without a little tea?
In 1689 Russia and China signed a treaty making peace and defining their borders. Soon tea began to arrive in European Russia by camel caravan, traveling 11,000 miles from China. Usually taking 16 weeks, the larger caravans ranged from 200-300 camels. Outpaced by the opening of the Suez canal in 1869, with the completion of the Trans-Siberian Railroad in 1900 the camel caravans virtually disappeared overnight. Tea survived the revolutions of 1917, and is still a popular drink in Russia today."

Juxtaposed June - day 9

Today's cup is a delightful Ginger Peach. My throat is sore from allergies this morning, so a hot cup of tea sounded perfect! I've never had this tea before, but I always enjoy "The Republic of Tea". 😊 According to the tin, this particular tea was voted an "Outstanding Beverage" at the "International Fancy Food Show"! Aren't we prestigious this morning?😉

Juxtaposed June - day 8

Today we have an herbal tea! "Christmas in Paris" is a herbal tea with cocoa shells, peppermint, lavender, chocolate, and vanilla. I like to send tea with my letters to people and this is one of my friends' favorites. 😊 A delightful cup after a long day at work!

If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life, it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast. ~ Ernest Hemingway

Juxtaposed June - Day 6

A lovely cup of lavender sencha with my fiancé! We enjoyed it while we watched Herbie goes to Monte Carlo. Lavender is a good way to relax in the evening. I've had a lot of green tea the past couple days so I shall have to have a cup of white or black tea tomorrow. 😊

Juxtaposed June - Day 5

Today I have two cups of tea! When we went to Dunkin Donuts there was a mix up in our order so we ended up with a delightful sencha matcha hot green tea, and our favorite iced tea! Im very happy with my tea! Definitely will order it on purpose sometime. 😊

Juxtaposed June - Day 4

Today's cup of tea is a simple cup of tea! Just a plain English Teatime to end my night. ☺ I wanted Earl Grey to enjoy with my Star Trek episode, but not so late at night so hence the quiet cuppa!❤

Juxtaposed June - Day 3

A delicious loose leaf oolong to start my day! Today I had "Ti Guan Yin". Im always a sucker for oolong. The flavor fills your mouth and warms you to your toes! It is such a delightful cup, I think I will have a second.

"The best days are when the only problem is to decide on a cup of tea or coffee."

Juxtaposed June - Day 1

I sorta vanished after March, so I figured I would post in June! "What should I post?" I thought to myself. Tea! Everyday I shall share a cup of tea with you, a different one each day, and my opinion on it. Today is a tea I received for my 18th birthday from a good friend. It is called "Novel Tea" and each one has a book quote on it. This one has the following:

"...what is the use of the book," thought Alice, "without pictures and conversations?" ~ Lewis Carroll

😊 see you tomorrow!
