God is Sovereign...this is not our Kingdom

Our country is doomed, there is no doubt. The perfect America is fading (2 Corinthians 4:16-18). Yet we panic because we think this is our kingdom, our place, our purpose. It isnt! We can not change the way people think, but we can remember what God tells us to do. We must act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God (Micah 6:8)! There is a purpose for everything, and God is still good in the midst of the miserable ways of men! Read Isaiah 40...God is sovereign over us all! He brings rulers down (40:23); He is higher than all we can imagine (all of chp 40 shows this)! I truly dont know why I was suddenly burdened to write this, but I was. Keep your eyes on JESUS (Hebrews 12:1-3!)!! I watched "The Hiding Place" put out in 1975 tonight, and Corrie ten Boom herself made a cameo at the end. She said, "There is no pit so deep, that God's love is not deeper still". So do not look at the world! The world is corrupt! Instead remember Romans 12:2! (I am purposefully making yall look these verses up because I want you to truly read God's word for yourself). Let God transform you, and work in you! Let His light shine before men, so they may see your good works and glorify the Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16)! We are a chosen people, so do not worry about what a day may bring (Matthew 6:34), but proclaim God's excellencies (1 Peter 2:9-11)! God has a plan for you, and its gonna be hard and its gonna be rough. We are going to experience things we dont want to, but that is when we need to remember that God is in control!

Psalm 27
The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid?
When evildoers assail me
to eat up my flesh,
my adversaries and foes,
it is they who stumble and fall.
Though an army encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear;
though war arise against me,
yet I will be confident.
One thing have I asked of the Lord,
that will I seek after:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord
and to inquire in his temple.
For he will hide me in his shelter
in the day of trouble;
he will conceal me under the cover of his tent;
he will lift me high upon a rock.
And now my head shall be lifted up
above my enemies all around me,
and I will offer in his tent
sacrifices with shouts of joy;
I will sing and make melody to the Lord;
Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud;
be gracious to me and answer me!
You have said, “Seek my face.”
My heart says to you,
“Your face, Lord, do I seek.”
Hide not your face from me.
Turn not your servant away in anger,
O you who have been my help.
Cast me not off; forsake me not,
O God of my salvation!
For my father and my mother have forsaken me,
but the Lord will take me in.
Teach me your way, O Lord,
and lead me on a level path
because of my enemies.
Give me not up to the will of my adversaries;
for false witnesses have risen against me,
and they breathe out violence.
I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living!
Wait for the Lord;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the Lord!

There is no pit so deep, in which God's love is not deeper still! -- Corrie ten Boom

“Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.”

The Eagle

on a frigid February morn
a bald eagle above did soar
a day in which we did celebrate
the life of a man who was great

people came from far and wide
for a man who stayed at the side
of those he cared and loved so dear
and that is why we are here

the next day we gather again
this time it is the end
the time in which we say goodbye
in our grief we sigh and cry

as we head to the grave side
we look up to the cloudy sky
and in the sky soaring above
is the eagle with the heart of a dove

a reminder of this special man
who was a father, son, and friend
a firefighter to the core
that is why the eagle soared

so as we said our last goodbyes
we kept our eyes to the skies
the eagle brought us hope and peace
even though his life did cease

and so we continue with our day
and for the family we pray
that comfort from the Lord above
shall remind them of His love

~ Isaiah 40:28-31 ~
Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth
He does not faint or grow weary;
his understand is unsearchable.
He gives power to the faint,
and to him who has no might he increases strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
and the young men shall fall exhausted;
but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint.

I will miss you, Mr Schairer! I'm so thankful I got to meet you! <3

Obligatory Valentine's Day Post

But its not a typical obligatory Valentine's day post! This is a post about what love is:

...clearing out the driveway for your Dad!
...your Dad going to the post so you can get a valentine you're waiting for!
...having a friend let you cry because it wasnt there...

...opening an unexpected letter from a different friend...and seeing their love for you!
...and grinning because God provided stamps for your R.L.O.E.s!!!

...finding a heart God sent you to remind you that youre loved and blessed!

My Life in a Nutshell
