~ going to the Zoo to see the new elephant pool

~ enjoying a snack of french fries while we wait the rain burst out

~ a special surprise of going out for lunch

~ getting a chance to watch the Olympics while we eat

~ a special necklace from John with my favorite verse on it...a very belated birthday present! ^-^

Beautiful Blessings - 8/10/16

~ taking the kids to the Zoo to You program and having different animals at it than the one they went to a few weeks ago 

~ having John and Alexa over to help with the blog-iversary project

~ going out for ice cream with my family and them

~ ending the night with A Ticket to Ride and losing horribly but having fun nonetheless

Fun at the Zoo! :~D

Yesterday we spent a lovely evening at the zoo! :~D

When we came up to the snow leopard cage, he was acting crazy! He was bouncing back and forth off the wall!

He was looking at the innocently grazing white-lipped deer on the other side. "A snack!" the snow leopard thought! ;~) Alas the zookeepers wouldn't let him invite him over for dinner.

The girls had fun "riding" the elephant.

The penguins posed proudly for me!

The cranes are a new addition! :~D

Enjoying Fall Yesterday

We made the first half of the leaf pile yesterday!!!!!! :~D (Half the leaves are still on the tree :) I had the honorary first jump as always! :) 

I was barefoot the entire time so by the time I took the sunset picture they were cold. But hey! I didn't mind to much! I can't wait for the rest of the leaves to fall so we can get snow!!!! :~D (Then I won't be going barefoot ;) lol) 

Anyways the sunset was gorgeous and the picture does not do it justice! We (my sisters and I) came in for some hot soup and bread for dinner. 

What a perfect fall day - We rocked to Winter Wonderland this morning, went to the zoo this afternoon, and then made a leaf pile while watching a beautiful sunset! :) What a wonderful day!!!!! :~D
