Snow! In April!

Awhile back, my friend and I were talking, and I lamented the fact I haven't been able to enjoy the snow. So I was delighted when I awoke to this!

My one friend's response to the snow was this: You know, I have a reason to believe that Moriah is the one who prayed for today's snow ;) lol

Another said:

....Moriahhhhhh!!!!!

hahaha!

And still another said: I wouldn't doubt it lol

I will be truthful and admit I wasn't praying for the snow, but I'm excited it's here!

Ahhh squee!!! I love snow!!!

Snowflakes on the lilac buds that are beginning to bloom!

Just write....

It's one of those beautiful spring days in which you just want to write.

(Our first daffodil! Spring is so vibrant and lovely!)

I'm not even sure what I'd like to write, but I'd love to do so.

So here I sit and type.

(And eat my breakfast. ;~)

The kids are outside playing so the house is quiet..

I've been wanting to write, but haven't been able to figure out what.

I wrote about being sick with mono back in March, and I think I have begun the road to improvement.

Throughout this mono I've come down with pneumonia, a cold, a couple migraines, and I think now I have another cold.

This is definitely a test of my patience, faith, and steadfastness in God.

It is so easy to get down, depressed, and discouraged about oneself.

If God hadn't seen me through this, I'd be a mess!

I laugh to myself because I am a mess.

I'm far from perfect, but God is perfect!

I've been thinking about Psalm 138:3 (ESV) this morning:

On the day I called, you answered me;
my strength of soul you increased.

I've called to God so many times to help me through this.

Every single time I've called, He has answered.

He has been strengthening me in every way.

And I can't thank Him enough.

God is so good!

Psalm 73:28 (ESV)
But it is good for me to be near God;
I have made the Lord God my refuge,
that I may tell of all your works.

I'm not sure how I'd like to wrap up this long rambling post.

Remember, no matter what you're going through, look to God!

Sounds cliche, yet it's the best decision you can make!

And now I shall go enjoy this lovely spring weather with a book and some tea!

Au revior!

Spring has sprung!

I ventured outside for a few minutes and was ecstatic to discover that spring has sprung!! I can't wait to see the rest of these beautiful flowers bloom!

Confession: I went barefoot without thinking. Heehee!! I missed the feeling of grass and dirt between my toes. ;~)

Venerable Vintage Hats: Daffodils!

The Daffodils

William Wordsworth1770 - 1850
I wandered lonely as a cloud
   That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
   A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
   And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretched in never-ending line
   Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced, but they
   Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A Poet could not but be gay,
   In such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
   In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
   Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

(I memorized this poem as a kid, and as I was thinking about this hat, it came to mind. :~)
