My best friend Neona gave me this hat! Its a beautiful fur hat! Perfect as the weather gets cooler as we get closer to the holidays!

Whenever my Mom sees it sitting in my room, her first thought is that its the cat ;~)

As I was walking down the sidewalk, I met Linda. Linda has lived in our fair village for 20 years. She loves the small town atmosphere, too. She also enjoys having family around. As I was giving her my blog address, she said to me, "If you don't know, I'm the Halloween lady." "The Halloween lady?" I asked puzzled. "Yes, I almost always decorate my house for Halloween. In fact, one day when I was working in my garden, a dad and his daughter walked by. A little while later they walked by again, and the girl asked me, 'Are you the Halloween lady?' I told her I was. 'Are you going to decorate again?' she asked. I told her I was, 'Good!' the girl replied."

Columbus day

Happy Columbus day!

Last year to celebrate it we:

We left our socks out to be filled with "gold", "corn", and "spices". (Chocolate coins, candy corn, and spices!)

They were filled by the Nina,

the Pinta,

and the Santa Maria.

This year the ships couldn't make it due to the rocket NASA shot off. (Its as good as reason as any!)
