Slow during the Rush

Sometimes we're in such a rush, we forget about those around us.

Today I got up, ate breakfast, and went to work within an hour's time.

Rush, rush, rush.

When I got home, it was time for our tea party.

Time slowed.

We (my sisters and I) all dressed up in our "fancy" clothes, made some tea, put some snacks on fancy plates, and enjoyed ourselves immensely.

We laughed, and chatted about who knows what, yet being together drew us closer.

We slowed time, & created memories.

Was I planning on posting about this little tea party? No...actually it was far from my mind.

When it was over, they all went to play, and I started to clean up.

I picked up the dishes, and left on my fancy dress.

Silky softness rubbed against my bare feet.

The simplicity of the moment.

A simple act of love, a tea party, will be remembered for years.

Slow time; do something simple with those you love.

Treasure time slowed.

Sometimes.......... (a poem)

Sometimes.
Sometimes we're strong.
Sometimes we fly.
Our faith is so strong, we touch the sky.
Sometimes we're fearless, cheerful and brave.
Sometimes we serve with a smile and a wave.

Sometimes.
Sometime we're weak.
Sometimes we fall.
Our faith is so weak, we cry over it all.
Sometimes we're fearful. upset, and scared.
Sometimes we leave with sadness and wish we could care.

Sometimes.
Sometimes we remember.
Sometimes we recall.
God is higher than it all!
God is with us,
he will not forsake us,
his power is mighty,
and we are his.
He will always be there when we fall.
To him we can turn when we're upset at all!
God is mightier than the world combined,
because he made us,
because he loves us,
because he cares.

Sometimes.
Sometimes we forget.
But God's still there.
His arms are open, and his smile is fair.
He's waiting for his precious child to come.
He's ready for his precious child to say,
"God, you are the one."
