Becoming

I posted a week ago about Love. I said:

In the next few weeks I'm going to be focusing on my family, prayer, and my relationship with God. I love my family, I love praying and learning more about God but I've been doing it wrong.
Romans 12:2
Do not be conformed to the world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good, acceptable and perfect.
I'm "breaking away" from the worlds ideas. I want to treat God, my family and friends as if they were Kings and Queens.
If God can show us everlasting love why can't I do the same?
It will be hard. It will be tough. I will want to give up, but the world needs to see God's love overflow in our lives as Christians.


Well I've been studying this past week. I've used Bible verses, thoughts and prayer.

When people think of the word becoming they think of something flattering and something that is changing to become something else. The definition of becoming according to the New Webster's Dictionary is: attractive, appropriate. If you take away ING you get the word become. Become has the definition of:  come, grow to be, suitable for. I'm going to be writing a devotional series for you, and me. I'm a girl just like you. This will help us all "grow to be" a Prayer Warrior, a daughter of the King, a  Big sister, a Woman of Faith, & a Homemaker. You can NOT rely on my words. You need to think, pray and read your Bible. I'm human, I'm in perfect.I am writing this because I need these reminders and verses just as much as you.

Thoughtful Thursday: Table talk

Dinner with your family is something people strive for.

We are blessed to eat dinner as a family. 

During dinner we talk about what we did that day, Dad tells us about work and we eat a yummy dinner out of the deal! ;~D

During dinner last night, my sisters had this discussion:

T-Tot: I want to go swimming in Mr.---'s pool next summer!

Lil' G: Me too.

T-Tot: We should go on the water slide. You would like it.

Lil' G thinks about this.

T-Tot: You go down the slide and splash under water. You can wear goggles or your eyes, but I like goggles better. Then Moriah will wave to you. She does that all the time!

Lil' G: But I don't want to get my eyes wet!

Thoughtful Thursday: Mr. Rogers' Words of Wisdom

I love Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. It is an awesome kids show.



It ranks no. 1 on my list of kids programs (Barney comes second, Sesame street needs a magnify glass to see it on my list).

I recently read a couple books of his quotes, and a biography about him. Very interesting man. I didn't know he was a Christian!

This quote I copied and place it on my email signature...

It is SO true. 

To love someone we need to be happy the way they were created, we are not to set out and find faults, but we are to set out and find the good in them. 

Kind of on the same topic, I recently read something that said only 2% of women think they are beautiful. They don't accept that they were created unique and with a purpose. They don't accept the way that God created them.
