"Treasure" - my Christmas treasure! This past Christmas, I was at the antique store in town and I found this angel! I have always wanted one like this for my hope chest (I should make an updated post soon!) because we have had one quite similar to this on our family Christams tree for years! Im so glad I found this treasure!!!

People of Jordan: Diane
Diane grew up in our fair village. She now owns a little antique store called "Dark Horse Antiques". She became a nurse, and during that time she always collected antiques. When she retired from nursing, she decided to open a little antique store here in Jordan. She told me that many of her costumers are from out of town, usually people interested in the canal history. She loves the history behind the canal and enjoys being here. I must say, it's lovely to have her here! :~)

People of Jordan: Peggy
This is Peggy. She owns one of the Antique stores in our little town. Cabin Creek Antiques to be exact. If you recall my love of hats, she has some great ones! I've gotten several from her.
(Look at all the homeless hats! : '( Someday soon I'll have to go get a few more ;~)
She's had the antique store for 10 years now. (She opened it in March of '04. This is the same year we moved Jordan, just a couple months later in June.) She does her best to sell local things, but during the winter, and especially the cold, business slows down a bit. She enjoys playing solitaire when the day is slow at the store. I always enjoy popping in and saying "Hello!" :~)

Heirloom Afghan
I was asked to repair an heirloom afghan. I finished it today! :)
The lady's sister's dog used it for a dog blanket so there was atrocious holes in it! It is now all set to go back to her family and is not to be used as a dog blanket or I'll cry from the thought of fixing more holes! ;)
