I wrote a post called "No More Scrabble" when my Great Grandma passed away...

~ Playing Scrabble with John

~ Laughing so hard my stomach hurts and I cant breathe...havent done that in a long time!

~ Noticing for the first time that there is a rose and a cup of tea on the box...and smiling because it was Great Grandma's Scrabble game :~)

~ Teasing John that if he looked at my letters while I made some tea that Ansel would do him in

~ Using the time I set aside with an alarm on the kindle to pray <3

A Beautiful Blessed Week - 10/19/15-10/26/15

~ Snow!!!!!!!

~ A lovely chat over tea with myself, my Mom, and a lovely older woman!

~ Receiving delicious produce from her garden!

~ Knowing that the girls were having a blat the other day while pouring over the toy cars in the magazine....

~ ...and watching their excitement as they get to drive one!! They were so excited that our friend had one for/from her grandkids!

~ The beautiful view through the hills and valleys! The colors were magnificent! The picture doesnt do it justice!

~ Making more apple butter! (in the new crockpot! :~D yay!)

~ The similarities and difference in a project L-Jo and Lil' G for school!

~ Video calling with a friend I never video called with before!
~ The ability to pray together during it!
~ Catching a woodpecker at work!

~ Mom and Dad's Engagement Anniversary! 20 years! <3 (He proposed to her in a library with the ring inside a book, isnt that adorable?? <3)

~ A creative kitty made of pretzel's! L-Jo made it! :~)

~ T-bug's abstract!

~ Pretending an old box is the Magic School Bus!
~ Coconut Acorn Squash Soup! Mmmm....

~ T-Tot swiming the length of the competition pool and back with a few breaks! Still quite impressive considering she really couldnt swim at the beginning of the summer!

Anywho, since I have forgotten to post the past several days, here are some blessings!

~ Meeting up with my old dance teacher so I can begin strengthening myself for the dance year ahead!

~ T-Tot's surgery (last one!) for a mole went well!

~ The smell of fresh picked apples!

~ Taking a mini-vacation at Walmart! Aka......drooling over cookware and squeeing over CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

~ Rejoicing that there are only 81 more days till Christmas!

~ Plotting Christmas presents!

~ Celebrating the fact it is October!

~ Squeeing over the beautiful colors on the trees!

~ Watching the kids use their imagination with their Color Clix! Here is a gun that they made!

and double motorcycles!

and, what I like to think of it as, "A Great Big Electric Whocarnio Flook" from "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas!"

~ Crocheting 85 baby hats so far!
~ Fresh Apple Cider Donuts from Grandma and Grandpa!
~ A play tea set from our "adopted Grandma and Grandpa"!
~ Seeing "twinsies" again!

~ Having a long video call with a friend!

~ Having an unexpected 10-minute visit from a friend!!

(I had to have a picture for proof that she came over ;~) Heehee!)

Nearly forgot the one in the blog title!

~ A missing hairbrush! For then I had to use a comb on the kids' hair this morning which required me to slow down and be gentle as we were getting ready for Church this morning!

Being Thankful No Matter What

My head hurts.

My reading glasses are bugging me.

My head hurts for the umpteenth time.

The slightest noise from the kids sounds like a tuba in my face.

Its kinda gloomy out.

I am tired.

And snappy.

I post things Im thankful for every day. 

Each blessing is a gift from God.

Sometimes its easy to say what Im thankful for when I have an amazing day.

But on days like this it is hard.

Especially when youre dealing with wet affectionate cats who decided to go out and play in the rain.

Or when the kids are playing together, and show you with great loud excitement, the worlds theyve created in their Polly Pocket Land.

And then you remember:

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

{1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ESV}

I remember the other day, when I was walking from the library, I thought of everything wrong at the moment. 

Yet God reminded me of Philippains 4:11-13.

It was a timely reminder to be content, appreciative, grateful, and thankful for all God has done.

So back to the beginning of my post.

 My head hurts, yet I have medicine to take to help and heal it.

My reading glasses are bugging me, yet I can adjust them a little and read properly with them.

My head hurts for the umpteenth time, yet I have a warm cup of coffee to drink to help soothe it.

The slightest noise from the kids sounds like a tuba in my face, yet they arent arguing and they are keeping themselves contentedly entertained with their Polly Pockets.

Its kinda gloomy out, yet its finally raining and we need the rain desperately.

I am tired, yet I can rest on the porch with my blanket and coffee.

And snappy, yet I can choose to be gentler with my remarks.

God has blessed me, and you, and all of us for that matter!

We need to choose to be thankful, no matter what!

Beautiful Blessings - 9/4/15

~ Seeing Gillie attack the yarn viciously and subsquently teasing her with it! ;~)

~ Seeing my sisters do things I never could do on the play ground! I never was one for crazy stunts on the playground. Heehee!! And then watching them use the seesaws! I never seesawed much as a kid since I was an only child back then ;~)
