If you live near Skaneateles N.Y.  I throughly recommend going to the Dicken's Christmas.

They have hot Chestnuts, costumes to barrow and other fun activities. (Including shopping! :~D)

"I don't know what to do!" cried Scrooge, laughing and crying in the same breath; and making a perfect Laocoön of himself with his stockings. "I am as light as a feather, I am as happy as an angel, I am as merry as a school-boy. I am as giddy as a drunken man. A merry Christmas to every-body! A happy New Year to all the world! Hallo here! Whoop! Hallo!"
"I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future. The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me. I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!" ~ Charles Dickens - A Christmas Carol

10 days till X'mas

A poll:

How many of you have made presents?

How many of you have bought presents?

How many of you have hid presents?

How many of you have presents in plain sight?

How many of you have wrapped presents?

How many of you are frantically trying to figure out what to do? ;~)

“Three phrases that sum up Christmas

are: Peace on Earth, Goodwill to Men,

and Batteries not Included”.

Have you ever done a fun foam nativity?

The only hard part is with kids and lots of pieces.....a lot....90 pieces to be exact......

Warm and yummy Corn Soup!

You poor guys have lots of posts to read! :~)

Last one....no promises....

1 can of corn
1 onion
2/3 cup of chopped chicken
3 tablespoons of horseradish mustard
Celery seed (optional)
Garlic powder (optional)
1/3 cup of heavy cream

Saute the onions at medium till brown. Do NOT turn the burner on high and burn your onions like I did.

Dump in the corn, and chicken to simmer.

Throw in the rest of the ingredients to serve.

I think it makes 2-3 big bowls and 4-6 little bowls....

We made Cinnamon Ornaments!!

(Sitting in the oven, just cause)

A friend gave us the dough, but you can make your own!

You need the ratio of 1:1.

E.g. 1 cup of applesauce and 1 cup of Cinnamon.

Mix it up and roll it out.

Cut it up with cookie cutters!!! :~D

If it gets to sticky use some cornstarch to alleviate the stickiness.

Bake @ 200 Fahrenheit until hard. (We haven't gotten that far).

Poinsettia Day!

Unfortunately Google doesn't' have a doodle for it....

Happy Poinsettia day!!!! ;~)

More about it here....
