2013....tomorrow?!?!?!?!

Wow.

One year ago, I received my pointe shoes.

In the past year I have gotten the strengthened my muscles to dance on them for long periods of time. I even choreographed a dance that required me to be on my pointes for two and a half consecutive minutes. And now I have gotten even stronger than that. (I noticed from a video from June on my pointes that I have improved in technique, strength and grace.)

I danced the this year in and will dance this year out! :~)

Help a family in need!!!!!!!

Our friends Erica and Andrew have a little boy named Liam who needs help!

About Liam!

Liam was born December 29, 2011 to his amazing mommy and daddy, Erica and Andrew. Liam's start to life wasn't easy with two fractured legs, so he spent his newborn days in casts. Now that he's older, they have more of an understanding of what he has, but still no real idea of how Liam's mobility will be impacted.
Liam was born with a rare disorder called Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita in his lower extremities.  Arthrogryposis or AMC for short.  He also has Muscular Dystrophy in his lower extremities. Clubbed feet that was finally corrected on Sept. 14th 2012.  And finally bilateral (both sides) Hip Dysplasia.
We're not sure if Liam will be able to crawl or walk, so your generous gift will help towards Liam's mobility!!
You can read more of Liams story here! http://liamsfootprintsoflove.blogspot.com/

What We Need

Since Liam doesn't have use of his legs to walk, this little guy needs a way to get around. The ZipZac is a small seat with wheels (it looks like a mini wheelchair!!) that will allow Liam the freedom and mobility to explore and be a child!
Read more about the ZipZac here!! www.zipzac.com

The Impact

As an almost one year old, it would be so amazing for Liam to be able to explore his surroundings and be a mobile child! I know this would be an absolutely amazing gift for Liam.

Please help them out! They only have 40

hours left to raise the money!

To donate go to:

Wouldn't this make a great birthday present

for Liam's birthday today???

Snow - A Blizzard

A couple feet of snow, a snowy fence, snow 1 foot high at the peak of the roof, snow: tiny, heavy flakes fluttering down in an all night streak.

It was, it is, and it shall be a White Christmas.

It was a White Christmas when a snow patch started up when we were getting presents under the tree at 1:00am Christmas morning.

It is a White Christmas if you are still in the Christmas season, counting down to 3 Kings day, also known as Epiphany  (January 6)

It shall be a White Christmas is you are part of the Eastern Church and celebrate Christmas on the 6th, 7th, or 19th of January.

Snow.

Snow.

Snow.

Job 37:6

He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’
    and to the rain shower, ‘Be a mighty downpour.’

One snowflake is different than every other.

Each a showing of one of God's masterpieces, snow.

A cold, frozen, soft rain.

2.a layer of snowflakes on the ground
3.a fall of such precipitation

Snow definition in the Bible

 Common in Palestine in winter (Ps. 147:16). The snow on the tops of the Lebanon range is almost always within view throughout the whole year. The word is frequently used figuratively by the sacred writers (Job 24:19; Ps. 51:7; 68:14; Isa. 1:18). It is mentioned only once in the historical books (2 Sam. 23:20). It was "carried to Tyre,Sidon, and Damascus as a luxury, and laborers sweltering in the hot harvest-fields used it for the purpose of cooling the water which they drank (Prov. 25:13; Jer. 18:14). No doubt Herod Antipas, at his feasts in Tiberias, enjoyed also from this very source the modern luxury of ice-water.

15 hours till X'mas

"There's just a few more hours.
That's all the time you've got. A few more hours...."
(Get me to the Church on time {My Fair Lady})

It's Christmas Eve!

Time has flown so fast this Christmas season!

The snow has fallen covering everything with a blanket of white.

It will be a "White Christmas" after all!

Luke 2:1-20

The Birth of Jesus

In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to their own town to register.
So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
    and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”

16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

This is the REASON for the SEASON!

1 day and a few hours till X'mas!

'Twas the Night before the Night before Christmas!

'Twas the night before the night before Christmas, when all through the house
I was un-hiding Christmas presents, though not the cat's present of a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that presents soon would be there.

The children were supposed to be all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads;
And Mommy with her tea, and I with my cup,
Had just started wrapping more up!

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the floor to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny mouse-deer.

With a little old driver, so furry with paws,
I knew in a moment it must be Ansel Claus.
More rapid than eagles his mouses they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name:

"Now, DASHER! now, DANCER! now, PRANCER and VIXEN!
On, COMET! on CUPID! on, DONDER and BLITZEN!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky,
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of toys, and Ansel Claus too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my hand, and was turning around,
Down the chimney Ansel Claus came with a bound.

He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his fur was all matted with ashes and soot;
A bundle of toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.

His eyes -- how they twinkled! His whiskers how merry!
His ears were like bells, his nose like a berry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the fur on his chin was as white as the snow;

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself;
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings; then turned with a jerk,
And laying his paw aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose;

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him meow, as he drove out of sight,
"HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD-NIGHT!"
